Haywood Pediatrics takes pride in the compassionate and state-of-the-art care we deliver to our patients and families. As Pediatric Specialists, we aim to provide the highest quality comprehensive healthcare to children from infancy to young adulthood. This quality care is guided by the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
As a group practice, our 6 pediatricians and 2 nurse practitioners provide our patients continuous access to care. We encourage our families to select one primary provider to perform well-child check-ups and special needs services. We will always try to serve your child’s health care needs with the provider of your choice. However, in the case of unexpected visits or emergencies, this may not always be possible. Please feel free to see any of our providers because we work together as a team to meet your child's health care needs.
We are dedicated to providing the best care that we can for our patients. Through different initiatives, we participate in leadership roles, development of health care policy and innovating practice.
Haywood Pediatrics has been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), a private, non-profit organization since 2008. We were proudly one of the first practices in the state that worked with BCBSNC in 2008 in the Bridges to Excellence Pilot program, achieving recognition status through the National Committee for Quality Assurance(NCQA) in the Physician Practice Connection-Patient Centered Medical Home (PPC-PCMH). A Patient-Centered Medical Home is a model of care that continually builds the clinician-patient relationship by replacing intermittent care with personalized coordinated, long term relationships that are effective and efficient to the patient and family. You can learn more about NCQA/PCMH model at
We actively participate in Community Care of North Carolina (CCNC). CCNC is a public-private partnership that brings together regional networks of various health care providers, social service agencies and other community organizations. NC Community Care Networks provides support and technical assistance to implement and test these provider-base models to establish a comprehensive medical home for children and youth with special health care needs. As part of CCNC, we are changing the health care experience by changing the way health care is delivered and focusing on making quality care more efficient and cost-effective.
All of us at Haywood Pediatrics appreciate the opportunity to be the medical home for your children.
